During this month, we are trying to become more aware of the present and stop reacting on autopilot. We are resetting our brains so that we are able to deal with what may happen to us in a more calm and peaceful manner.
Today we will do Quick Body Scans to help bring us to awareness of how we are feeling without judgement. Whatever you feel; acknowledge, accept and move on. Be happy to be able to be present in this moment.
Quick Body Scan
1- Take a deep breath; breathe in for 5 counts, hold for one count and exhale for 8 counts.
2- Allow yourself to become aware of your body.
3-Slowly move your awareness from the top of your head to the tip of your toes noticing the different sensations. (I always imagine some sort of beam of light slowly moving over my body.) Remember to not judge the sensations. Just accept that they are there.
4- Remain at rest for a few more deep breaths, being aware of your body breathing.
Now, proceed with your day.
Make a mental note about this #mindfulmoment and congratulate yourself for being in the present.
Repeat at least three times today.
